Tatio’s geysers

After an hour’s drive, the sun rises over the nearby Cordillera, and half an hour later we enter the magnificent Tatio geyser plateau.

The visit lasts about an hour and a half, after which we set off for a hearty breakfast at a place called « les geysers blancs », where we can take a dip in the thermal waters of the rio (32 to 38° depending on the location).

On the way back, we stop off at the Machuca bofedal to admire the guaiatas, vicuñas and numerous flamingos.

For groups with time to spare in the afternoon, we stop off at Guatin for a beautiful walk through the cactus valley.

Return to San Pedro.

For groups flying into Calama in the afternoon, it’s a direct return to San Pedro.
