Just like an adventurer, we'll head south to the Salar de Atacama in our 4 x 4 vehicle. After a 3 hour drive, we will reach the edge of the crater, located at 3500 meters above sea level.
Once there we will pass inside the crater in search of fragments of the meteorite that created this giant hole. Our guide will tell you the history of the place and the different scientific phenomena related to the meteorites found in the region.
Then we will make a stop in the village of Tilomonte, the nearest town. There we will have a drink and a snack.
We will enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the natural pools of Peine, a neighboring town located on the edge of the Atacama Salt Flat. Open from September to May, the pools in Peine offer a relaxing environment with spectacular views over the salt flat.
If you like adventure, we also give you the possibility to camp in this wonderful place. More details in our section Night of the Desert.
